The Midgard Snake Ring

Ancient Viking legends tell stories about a giant serpent that surrounded the world with its body until the time of the apocalypse. This serpent was so huge that it managed to surround the Earth completely and bite its own tail. This was a creature both terrible and magical; as it both supported the foundations of the world and maintained spiritual balance through the infinite cycle of creation and destruction. The great serpent was a sign of the process of constant renewal, vitality and infinity.
