The Destroyer

In the infernal mountains of Avernus there lived a legendary beast so large, so imposing, so powerful and so full of rage, that catching its mere gaze would freeze onlookers out of fear and its head assault would tear down otherwise impenetrable castle gates as easy as cracking an egg. The legend goes that Kilmarnock the Great, so filled with envy and lust for revenge, sought out the beast to tame it and use it to lay siege to his brother’s gigantic and lush keep. Facing almost certain doom, Kilmarnock knew that any attempt to dominate the monster would end in tragedy, so he devised a plan to lure the beast out of its crater nest and into a massive cage fashioned out of the hardest steel. The plan worked and he was able to transport the rage-filled monster toward the gates of his brother’s citadel with an army of just 100 men. As soon as the beast was released, it is said that the destruction of the citadel was so quick, so violent, and so intense, that even Thanatos, the god of death, was greatly pleased with the obscene spectacle. So much so in fact, that after the carnage was done he would end up welcoming not only Kilmarnock to the realm of the underworld, but also his brother and everyone involved in the conflict… for eternity.
