Whisper of the Sea Ring

A long time ago, these beautiful little cowrie shells were used as currency in ancient Asia and Africa. Before that, however, kings and queens used to wear them as powerful warding amulets, since they were believed to provide a direct connection with the ancient goddess Calypso, who often manifested in the form of whispers from the ocean. Since they provided such a strong connection to primordial forces, they were known to provide great protection from natural dangers and a source of navigational knowledge to any who wore them in those times.
