The Secret Crescent

There once was a famous baker known as Papa Poulin (Grandpa Poulin) in France who came from a long line of magic users in Belgium. Persecuted by the church, as a boy he was separated from his family and forced to migrate to France. He found solace in an old lady’s dilapidated bakery. The old woman adopted the boy, and, recognizing his talents, decided to employ him. Initially using him to run deliveries, she eventually trusted him with more important tasks. After she passed away he became the only person responsible for the bakery, and years after the bakery became a popular place to buy incredibly delicious bread and cakes. The secret aspect is that Papa Poulin’s bakery was also a secret meeting place for magic users in Europe who wore any piece of clothing emblazoned with this secret, crescent moon-like croissant icon on it.
