Owl of Athena

As companions, familiars are both wonderful and interesting. They provide guidance, protection, and at times can become a lonely warrior’s most trustworthy companion. Such was the case with this particular owl spirit who provided the followers of the goddess of wisdom and strategy not only with insight and knowledge of their surrounding terrain and enemies, but if they truly gained his trust, they might even be followed with occasional acerbic comments and humorous quips. Legends say that if this mysterious familiar appeared before a warrior to help him on his mission, it would be because Athena herself deemed him worthy and his cause noble enough to warrant it.
